How it all started...

When my son was born, my Mom started crocheting him a baby blanket. She gave it to him at his first birthday party, and it made me cry because it reminded me of my Grandma (who also crocheted). She passed away too early from breast cancer that was misdiagnosed. I still have the two blankets that she made for me, one as a baby gift, and one as a graduation gift. After I received the blanket from my Mom, I decided that I wanted to learn how to crochet too.

My Mom wanted a refresher, so we took a class at our local Park District in 2004. Once I put the hook to the yarn and started making things, I never wanted to put it down!

A few years later, my sister asked if I could make a hat for her. She fell in love with it, and took a few to her school (where she's a teacher), and other people ordered them too. I was so excited that I opened up my Etsy store and went to a few Craft Shows. Since then, I've created MANY different items (most of which were things that family/friends wanted me to make for them).

Every item that I make is from a pattern that I've created or modified. I love getting ideas and sitting on my couch with a ball of yarn to create something new!
